Right Path!... Bright Future?

Right Path

Yesterday i was reading an article from The Star about ACCA.
The header states this:
Higher Pay, better life abroad.....Accountants lured by irresistible offers.

According to MIA(Malaysian Insititute of Accountants), by Year 2020, there will be a shortage of 60,000 accountants. One of the factor causing this problem is that Malaysian Accountants were all accepting offers by other companies in overseas(i.e Australia, China, Singapore etc)

Why they chose Malaysian Accountant Grads?

It is stated that mainly because Malaysian Accountants' qualification conforms with globally-recognised IFRS(Internatinal Financial Reporting Standars...Paper 8), Nevertheless being a multi-lingual person is another advantage of it...

Why WE wanna go there?

Well, it is undeniable that almost everyone in Malaysia wants to work overseas as they have the perception where only by working abroad, u'll have a better future prospect. But in this article, what attracts me@us to aim for this?
- THE PAY

In Malaysia, you'll earn a max of RM96,000 per annum where as in
a) Australia~ A$80,000 p.a (= RM 230,000)
b) Britain ~ 60,000 pounds p.a (= RM 420,000)
c) China ~ 400,000 RMB p.a (= RM 276,000)

Brother, who can reject such attractive remuneration? lolz....

Bright Future???

My dad came back home telling me this. He has a friend working as a HEad Hunter (I am not sure if i spell it correctly but it is a job which requires someone to assist big corporations in recruiting employees) told him that darn lots of companies searching for Grads with ACCA qualification. They spotted lots of Fresh Grads/ interviewed them...but end up they found no one.

They interviewed lots of grads with excellent results moreover Prize Winners but they still did not recruit them . Why? He said mainly because during the interview , they found that all these grads now were all empty in their heads i.e lack of general knowledge. They can't speak, can't share/ discuss for current issues etc...

Well i am just here to share this with all my friends who are all in the same RIGHT PATH with me ...but whether or not we would/wouldn't be employed , it just not depends on the CERT. ... well, i am one of the victim also...hehe

The Star quoted "If this trend continues..." Do you think that this trend will continue after seeing such a news?

Also, why suddenly, all unexpected, came out a news like this? It has a reason behind it and I think a 80 mark scorer will know it right? :-P

You're right...
Most university graduates have "empty" brain...
For most Malaysians, they go to university as "responsibility" and "trends", instead of enthusiasm on learning...
Debate trains us to become a more responsible mankind... That's true...
